Setting View Properties

When you first select a view to be published the basic view properties will be displayed in the content window. The most prevalent options appear on this page, as shown below:

View Properties

Along side each option is a help indicator (help) which you can hover the mouse over to provide additional information on the operation of the setting.

The available basic view properties are:

hmtoggle_arrow1        Cube Name

hmtoggle_arrow1        View Name

hmtoggle_arrow1        Publish View to Web Service (on-demand mode only)

hmtoggle_arrow1        Suppress Zeroes on Rows (on-demand mode only)

hmtoggle_arrow1        Suppress Zeroes on Columns (on-demand mode only)

TM1 Memory/Performance Best Practice:
If a TM1 cube is used specifically for applications using TM1Connect, you can sometimes eliminate the need for feeders on most, if not all, measures because views in TM1Connect generally do not suppress zeroes on columns. Only one measure is needed for row suppression, but remaining measures do not require feeders.
